Effective September 15th, the minimum wage in British Columbia will be going up from $10.45 to $10.85. At $10.45, BC has the lowest minimum wage in Canada. In September, 2017, the provincial government will be raising it another 40 cents to $11.25. Currently Ontario has the highest minimum wage in Canada, at $11.25. It is expected that in the future, annual adjustments will be made based on the Consumer Price Index.
