The interest rate that the CRA charges on amounts owing has remained at 6%. There was some concern one year ago that as general interest rates were rising, the CRA would be increasing the interest rates that they charge. However, as interest rates have stabilized over the past year on Government of Canada 90 day Treasury bills, it appears unlikely that the CRA interest rate will change again soon.
